This mixed-use development comprises two seven-storey blocks and one 13-storey block. The basement and ground levels are for commercial use and the levels above are residential units.
10-20 Dock Street is constructed in reinforced concrete with several lift/stair cores providing the stability. Concrete flat slabs are used throughout supported on columns hidden in the perimeter cladding where possible. There is one level of basement with the perimeter constructed of a contiguous piled wall with reinforced concrete liner wall.
The structure is supported on CFA piles and the contiguous piled perimeter wall. The building steps in at the 6th storey which required the slab on this level to be a transfer slab. It is also directly adjacent to existing structures on three boundaries which required careful detailing to ensure the existing structures were not affected.
