Peter Dann have completed Phase 1 of a new Education Campus in Northstowe, Cambridge. Located on the site of the former RAF Oakington base, the campus comprises a secondary school, primary school with nursery, a SEN School and indoor sports facilities for school and community use. The Primary School and further Secondary extensions will be added at Phase 2 and 3.
The campus aesthetic creates a contemporary environment with large glazed walls, vibrant colours and clean edges, with external materials informed by the Northstowe Design Code.
The campus will help serve the new Northstowe development, comprising up to 10,000 homes, a town centre, roads, schools and recreational areas.
Phase 1 has delivered the first 1,500 homes. The development of Northstowe is being driven by a working partnership between South Cambridgeshire District Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and two Master Developers.
