The Resting Hare was created as part of the refurbishment to the County Hotel in London, which belongs to the Imperial Hotels chain.
The venue, now established in Woburn Walk, comprises 100m2 indoor brasserie and an additional 65m2 external terrace, accessible for both hotel guests and other customers.
Peter Dann was appointed to develop the structural concept, creating the external terrace space by infilling the existing light well. In addition, we provided structural design services for the reconfiguration of the ground floor structure.
Existing load bearing walls were removed and new steel frames installed. The terrace floor infill provided a roof structure for the lower ground level hotel kitchen and bakery extension.
