The POD hotel in Williamsburg, New York, is the first modular project designed by Peter Dann to be constructed in the USA, with modules installed on a steel-framed podium structure designed by engineers in New York.
The modular structure was further developed from our previous projects with a particular focus on creating more substantial connections between the modules to resist seismic loadings, while still allowing rapid construction on site.
The hotel consists of 158 modules and more than 200 rooms spread across four blocks linked at high level by bridges; plus a restaurant, roof terrace/garden and retail spaces.
