77 Queen Victoria Street involved the modernisation of an existing concrete framed office building to increase the rentable floor area and improve floor layouts.
Peter Dann implemented a relocation of the service risers to not only suit the revised floor plate layout but to also enhance the services provisions. We designed the infill of the existing atria to further increase the floor area, and construction of new roof-top balconies was required to maximise the use of space.
In addition, this project required the remodelling of the glazed entrance façade, entrance steps and reception area. Due to the building’s location over Mansion House underground station, the challenge of the project was the coordination of the enabling works to facilitate a new power supply.
