Crematorium for Central Bedfordshire Makes BBC News

We are the structural engineers on this new crematorium project in Steppingley for the Central Bedfordshire Council, as featured on the BBC. As a result of much hard work by the Client and their team of consultants, planning consent was recently granted.

It follows a long and intense planning engagement partly due to the crematorium’s greenbelt location; however, landscaping will include gardens, meadows, a lake and a tree-lined approach.

It will be the first crematorium for residents of central Bedfordshire, cutting waiting times and travel for grieving families.

We will be working with DT Architects, Couch Perry Wilkes (M&E Engineers), Henry Riley Associates (Project Manager & Quantity Surveyors) and KMC Planning Ltd (Transport Planner).

Building will hopefully commence later this year, with works expected to last between 12 and 18 months.
