It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of our founder, Peter Dann, at the age of 101.
Only last year, we had the privilege of celebrating Peter’s centenary and reflecting on the remarkable legacy he created.
Peter founded his consultancy in the back bedroom of 66 Victoria Park, Cambridge, in 1963. He later moved into his first office on Hills Road. From the beginning, he built a practice founded on professionalism, technical excellence and a genuine commitment to his clients.
Many of the people Peter recruited in those early years remained with the company for decades, helping to shape its culture and supporting its continued growth. Among them was our current Director, Ian Sargent, who began his career with Peter Dann as a 16-year-old and has seen the business evolve first-hand.
Reflecting on Peter’s legacy, Ian commented: “Starting out, I could never have imagined the career that lay ahead. Peter created a business and culture that gave people opportunities based on their ability and commitment, regardless of background. His influence on my life, and on the lives of others, cannot be overstated.”
Peter retired in 1991, but the company has continued to evolve whilst remaining true to his founding principles.
Everyone at Peter Dann Ltd extends our sincere condolences to Peter’s family and friends. He will be greatly missed and remembered with great affection.
