Over the past 50 years we have developed a wide range of expertise, including historic buildings and structures. We have a sympathetic approach toward sustainable and ecological design through the re-use of materials and retention of existing structure. We aim to provide structural solutions with minimal interference to the character and substance of historic properties, whilst breathing new life into tired or weakened buildings.
We have successfully helped many of our clients with prestigious developments where regenerating buildings of special interest has required a holistic approach to the design and detailing. We also utilise innovative techniques for enhancing the strength of structures to carry new loadings for which they were not originally suitable.
Our range of commissions covers small individual structures, such as historic dovecotes, to major country houses and college buildings with clients ranging from individual property owners to the National Trust.
