Eltham Community Hospital

A new hospital serving patients from Eltham and Greenwich opened at the beginning of March 2015. The 4,200 sq meter facility will serve 16,000 patients with services such as mental health, physiotherapy and paediatrics.

We carried out a design for the structural frame for this new build, three-storey hospital. The frame is to be built out of concrete and composite steel, the most structurally efficient solution for the project.

When liaising with the project team, we represented both the structural engineering and steel fabricator for the project. We were also able to assist in the coordination of the structural frame with architect’s and MEP consultant’s design.

The hospital was shortlisted for the BREAAM Healthcare Awards 2014.
