Cornwall Terrace

Directly adjacent to Regents Park, this Grade I listed property on Cornwall Terrace was designed by renowned architect John Nash.

The building, which had been converted into one office, was to be transformed back to residential use for a single dwelling. A full refurbishment of the building was required with a new basement constructed to house a wine store, laundry and a large sophisticated plantroom.

Traditional underpinning was used to form the basement. The perimeter walls, vaults and party walls were underpinned by a specialist subcontractor. Jacking of the soil prior to concreting the pins was adopted to avoid any movement and differential settlements between this and the adjoining properties.
